We are approved to service and perform the Annual Performance Test on STX VDR and S-VDR systems, including fault finding, data download and replacement of capsule and beacon batteries.
Manufacturer approved VDR service
Electro-Tech, Inc. is an approved service supplier for Furuno, JRC and STX Voyage Data Recorders. Under SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 18.8, every VDR and S-VDR must undergo an Annual Performance Test (APT) carried out by a testing or servicing facility approved by the manufacturer. On completion of the test we issue the certificate of compliance required by the flag State and the classification society.
