Electro-Tech is approved by Japan Radio Co. (JRC) to install, service and carry out the Annual Performance Test on JRC VDR and S-VDR systems, including software updates, sensor interfacing, data download and replacement of protective capsule batteries and beacons.
Manufacturer approved VDR service
Electro-Tech, Inc. is an approved service supplier for Furuno, JRC and STX Voyage Data Recorders. Under SOLAS Chapter V, Regulation 18.8, every VDR and S-VDR must undergo an Annual Performance Test (APT) carried out by a testing or servicing facility approved by the manufacturer. On completion of the test we issue the certificate of compliance required by the flag State and the classification society.
